Energy regeneration is now smooth (Wrath-style) instead of tick-based; combo points stay on the target until you build on another; Feint cuts significant threat; rogues can wield axes.
Talents and class choices
Assassination gained Mutilate (20% more damage against poisoned targets) and Venom (+30% poison damage, +10% application chance). Poisons scale with attack power and stack with Windfury Totem and Sharpening Stones.
Races: Human, Dwarf, Night Elf, Gnome, Orc, Undead, Troll and Skyborne. Human (1% crit), Gnome (Eureka energy) and Skyborne (2% haste) are close on Alliance.
Assassination has strong poison damage and the least opportunity cost for Improved Expose Armor, but no raid buff. Best professions: Engineering, or Skinning + Leatherworking for early gear.
