The 30 October hotfix removed Berserk, added Lacerate as a row-4 Feral talent, cut Shifting Power from 16 to 8 seconds and made Leader of the Pack raid-wide crit. Feral attacks now scale with weapon damage, potions work in forms, and Omen of Clarity/Nature's Grasp are baseline.
Talents and class choices
Balance: Genesis now gives 2/4/6/8/10% periodic damage/healing. Restoration: Bloom is new, Wild Growth has a 3-second cast, Swiftmend requires Regrowth or Rejuvenation. Naturalist buffed.
Races: Night Elf, Tauren and Skyborne. Night Elf is the clear Alliance pick (Elune's Light); Skyborne is the Horde pick (Wind Blessed); Tauren has no damage racial.
Feral is the only spec that can tank and DPS, with strong mobility and a combat rez, but it has no real AoE/cleave. Best professions: Engineering for tank threat, Mining + Engineering.
