Ranks and gates: Apprentice 1–75, Journeyman 75–150 (min 50 skill / level 10), Expert 150–225 (125/20), Artisan 225–300 (225/35). Rods gate the craft: Runed Copper, Silver, Golden, Truesilver, Arcanite.
Mote of Magic is new: 'Dust to Motes' turns 1 Strange Dust into 3 Motes, used by the earliest enchants and the Novice's Practice Wand. Enchanters can also craft staves, off-hands and idols/relics.
No vellums at launch: enchants cannot be put on the Auction House or mailed to alts, only traded in person. Seven forum threads passed 1,100 posts; Blizzard has not replied. This is a major expectation-setting point.
Camp feature: Enchanted Lute (armor, all stats, resistances). Best pairing: Tailoring for the craft/disenchant shuffle.
